We had an old bottle of Jameson's from the 1970s to try, our oldest bottle yet. With it, an old (in the aged sense) bottle of Glen Grant - would either be a Christmas cracker?

IT HURTS YOUR EYES! Oh wait, no, it’s just canned sweetcorn, bananas, honey and peach (ahh!). Noooo, it’s dry tobacco, shnooze, Jif, buttery and alcoholic. IT HURTS YOUR EYES!

Bananas dipped in acid. You want more? Ok, wang. Like what you imagine the taste of oil seed rape should be. Oh ok, and the rest: smooth, slightly too powerful, marshmallow, maple syrupy pancakes, Hawaiian pizza, hot caramel, sweet, and floral.

The following is verbatim from my notes. Were we drunk? I don’t remember: Tinned fruit salad, there is no finish, it’s just hot fireball, you knowh whoat I meant Atomic fireballs don’t do it word for work god you’ll hae to rweade, lemon candied fruits, lemoncello, hot, Atomic Kitten, a false start to a Samba, the finish is pain. Christina Aquilera’s Xmas album. [a very large SIC, and quite a large HIC]
