We took ourselves down to the local distillery, Glenkinchie, for an extended tour and warehouse tasting. We also took an older bottle along to sample on the walk there and back.. reviews were a little sparse due to quantity and time ;)

Smells

Grape. Slight salt. Similar nose to the 12yo. Slight smoke. Musty,dry, slight sweetness.

Tastes

Subtle smoke. Smooth. Lovely! Slightly sour. Sweet but nicely balanced.

Finishes

Dusty. Charcoal. Long-ish. Very dry. Sharp. Bit of heather and honey.

Comments

A fruitiness that's hard to describe.
