Meet Deets
Meet #52   |   12/07/14   |   Hosted by Shelley
Shelley hosted us in her new pad, where she put on a 3 region blind tasting, where I think we all spectacularly failed to identify what we were drinking.
Other bottles sampled:
#100 Bladnoch SV 20yo | SSWC review 52a
#101 Glen Spey 1995 CC | SSWC review 52b
Smells
Slightly maritime with fishy and salty undertones mixed with fruits such as coconut, apples, grapes and blackberries. A bit of dairy featuring with cheesy wafts and vanilla ice cream – but only the cheap soft scoop type.
Tastes
A sweet / savoury theme of salty, buttery popcorn and buttered toffee. Invisible sherry intertwining with smoke. A hot toddy featuring clove and lemon spiked with liquorice. Some fondly remembered encounters of uncloven animals chewing on some grass. For others, it is trip to France for some Tarte Tatin covered in custard. In summary: “Just really fuckin’ tasty”.

We toasted Lucy's photo-fame with this one.
Finish & Comments
A long finish of sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream, liquorice and lemon, coating the tongue like molasses.
Cost
~£38 (70cl)
