It was a birthday bash, featuring a bag full of whiskies and a can of Buckfast. Although these were never combined (were they?!), would we be tempted?

Smells
There was nothing refined about this young number. This was probably given away by the likes of ânew make spiritâ, acetone and freshly cut grass and grape skins but possibly an exotic punch to it with classy memories of Mezcal. Its youth was even compared to sweet smelling raw pastry dough ...possibly a sign that it might not be ready to serve and would benefit from having been put in the âovenâ for a bit longer!
Tastes
It depends on how you like your sailors but this one had been out at sea for at least 40 days and was starting to absorb the aromas of the remaining fermenting bananas and gooseberries. The salted liquorice was the only thing well preserved!
Finish & Comments
Sweet and sour but NOT âsweet and sourâ. A bit woody to begin but letâs cut to the chase: pretty uncomplicated and lacking depth. Basically if there was diluting juice whisky - this is it. I.e your Gran pouring it....! But to be fair, âI havenât had whisky in some time âitâs alrightâ. Enough said!
Cost
~£38 (70cl)
