Meet Deets
Meet #85   |   22/04/17   |   Hosted by Ali G
We went up high for this meet, sampling a seriously alititudinal Bavarian whisky alongside something from Scotland's (joint) highest distillery - Braeval.
Other bottles sampled:
#195 Braeval OP 18yo | SSWC review 85b
Smells
Bourbon whisky, head cheese, processed ham, parma violets, turpentine, mustyness like an attic, an old cherry Tune sweet, sweet musty perfume, soapy, ribena, brandy, "The Boy is Mine", glue, smoky bacon.
Tastes
Really dark chocolate (80-90%), a chocolate singularity (good brand!) Quite dry like grape skins. Fiery 2nd taste. Honey, peaty cask, spent matches, sherry cask dryness, jein, wunderschon.

Finishes
Not much to go on here, but we picked up a bitter, watery finish with a fruity vibe, thusly manifesting as grapefruit.
Comments
A new taste each time, a lot going on, but maybe some things a bit masked by toffee etc? A new taste each time, a lot going on, but maybe some things a bit masked by toffee etc? Onbe member has suggestible nose. Despite some protestation, if you're in the database, you're in the group. However, the database doesn't like umlauts :(
