Meet Deets
Meet #81   |   19/11/16   |   Hosted by Martin
Another trip down to Porty, this time to have an evening of 'porty' whiskies: A port cask, a Port Askaig, a Portonova, a Westport and a Port Finish! We were fully in sup-port of this venture..
Other bottles sampled:
#181 Arran Port Finish | SSWC review 81a
#182 Westport 2006 WhB | SSWC review 81b
#183 Amrut Portonova #12 | SSWC review 81c
#184 Port Askaig 100 | SSWC review 81d
Smells
Tangfastics. Lemon tart. Nice, mild normal whisky. Reeet fresh. Heaven. Crabs. Briney. Very sweet and a bit empty.
Tastes
Spicy grapefruit. Hot & sour. Hot. A sneaky lizard. Peppery bananas. A bit of burn sugar at the start.

Meet 81   |   The whisky wasn't as scary as this suggests...   (5 photos)
Finishes
Mince pie pain. Bonfire marshmallows. A sharp sugary sourness.
Comments
Struggling to work this one out, too spicy. Giles says he thinks the port might be his favourite whisky of the night!
