Tastes & Smells
It really smelled of pizza!, morphing into a fruity, white wine. It was a bit of a hodge-podge of smells: Silage and cut grass seem a suitable match, but it was also a bit sweaty and somehow reminiscent of lavendar at the same time. There was also a background sweetness, best expressed as burnt sugar and toffee & cream (written is if that's an allowable dessert combo). When I tasted this, my initial reaction was 'Mmm!', with syrupy and bitter molasses offered by my tasting partners. It was mellow without being faint, and sweet and citrusy (particularly lemony), with a hint of aniseed. Although that was all interesting enough, no flavours really stood out, but as it lingered it started to sour: lime jumping out on the finish.
Worth shouting about?
Tasted with two Caperdonichs, this got the joint best score along with the 19yo Caperdonich. That said, none of these blew me away and nothing really stood out at the time, nor evoked a strong memory the following days. Interestingly, this also soured towards the end, which isn't always a bad thing... but didn't do this any favours. The age didn't really make much on appearance, although it certainly didn't appear young: Not that woody like a number of 30+yos, but not replaced with enough of significance to really win me over.
Summary & Ramblings
I described it on my notes as 'like being rained on by a lemon squeezer', which does seem pretty apt: things gradually for more citrusy with time, and the situation gradually got worse. It was a gentle rain of flavours though, not giving away too many secrets that its surely discovered in its 34 years.

tldr;Sweet and citrusy, with more interesting additions on the nose. A vaguely interesting profile was reduced by a lack of notable tastes, even if what was there was pleasant enough. The age didn't really shine through as much as I'd have hoped.
