Tastes & Smells
Pop this under your nose and it's like being part of Vinho Verde manufacture slightly fresh and raw, with an almost fizzy, young wine feel. After an initial hint of toffee, this hint was emphatically confirmed with time, and even moved towards a savouriness, with thoughts of marmite. The raw and fresh aromas became tangy and sour when tasted, with herbs and oily fish over time. There was a slight numbing around the mouth, which was nice and enjoyable, coinciding with ever-so-slight notions of chili oil. The herbiness continues but slightly watered down, a little like washed basil.
Any good?
This isn't brilliant, but it stays with you in a pleasant way. It's a bit fiery but I don't want to give impressions of a spiciness think of the effect stem ginger.. not in taste but in the way you get a sweet, numbing feeling after chewing. It's not that well balanced between the sweet and sour and the main tastes aren't as good as the nose and finish.
Reminiscent of...
It initially made me think of seafaring not due to evocative salty or fishy smells but more the feeling of being isolated and away from home. Maybe a whisky to drink when staring out of a rainy window? I also felt it was reminiscent of a naughty child stealing toffee from a shop, as it was a bit wrong until a sweet, mischievous finish.

In summary:
Nothing to write home about, but if you did it would be from a boat or a rainy port. Due to an interesting sweet-numbing, it might make a fun mouthwash - but I'd not be queuing up for a swill.
