Meet #72 | 20/03/16 | Hosted by Phil
We took ourselves down to the local distillery, Glenkinchie, for an extended tour and warehouse tasting. We also took an older bottle along to sample on the walk there and back.. reviews were a little sparse due to quantity and time ;)
Young / New-makey. Citrus. Coconut apple. Like a toffee apple, but coconut. Honey, cerearl, wort. Apples, cut grass,herbs-thyme?
Raisins. Light. Honey. Metallic. Quite fresh and grassy.
| A private tasting with the standard 12yo up first.. (6 photos)
Light coal. Shane-long? Sharp, spice. Sharp on the finish, a bit of vanilla at the very end.
More challenging than I expected.
